About the Artist
Tatiana Samoylova is a Russian-born artist whose work bridges the classical traditions of fine art with the expressive possibilities of modern media. She creates richly detailed paintings and sculptures that reflect her lifelong devotion to storytelling through visual form.
Tatiana’s artistic journey began early in her childhood in Pyatigorsk, Russia, where she was first drawn to the rigorous disciplines of academic drawing and sculpture. Even while building a successful legal career in Russia, her creative calling remained constant. After relocating to the United States, she began exhibiting her oil paintings in galleries and festivals, sharing her evolving vision with American audiences.
In 2011, Tatiana moved from Florida to San Francisco to fully immerse herself in the world of professional art. She graduated with an MFA and has since continued to blend traditional oil techniques with digital precision, always guided by an eye for mood, light, and fine detail.
Now based in Montgomery, Texas, Tatiana continues to teach fine arts while painting and sculpting by hand, believing that traditional craft grounds the imagination and allows for a more authentic expression of the artist’s inner world.
